McIntosh & Light is a collection of sourced and restored bespoke furniture based in Hackney.
Our Philosophy
As a trained fashion designer, I’ve always searched for newest trends, hunted for unique vintage items and saturated my mind with beautiful imagery.
During my 7 years in industry, my taste and aesthetic evolved, and I became drawn to the world of interiors.
So, alongside creating clothing collections in the week, I begun sourcing and restoring interior pieces every weekend (sleep had to take a backseat).
In 2020 I took my side hustle full time, and McIntosh & Light was officially born. As a one man band I source, restore and photograph all the items myself.
I love the thrill of the find, the care of restoration, and the joy of my clients. I also love the slower pace of interiors in comparison to that of fashion: Sustainability is important to me and giving items a new lease of life and a new home has given me a new purpose.
